About CCAD – Pilibhit

As India progresses towards achieving Universal Health Coverage, it is crucial to prioritize the healthcare needs of populations in underserved areas. The Chikitsa Chikitsak Aapke Dwar (CCAD) Program ensures access to quality healthcare services at the doorstep of rural and remote communities.

Inspired by the vision of providing accessible and quality healthcare, the CCAD program is designed for the residents of Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh, bridging gaps in healthcare access through dedicated leadership.

Uttar Pradesh – MMU Services

With a population of 1.2 million, where 75% reside in rural areas, Pilibhit faces major healthcare challenges. Limited access to hospitals, financial constraints, and low health literacy contribute to high rates of maternal and infant mortality, malnutrition, and communicable diseases. Our MMUs serve 50,000 – 70,000 beneficiaries annually, prioritizing women, children, the elderly, and marginalized communities.

Key Features of the MMU Model in Pilibhit:

  • Fixed-Route Healthcare Delivery – Serving 20-25 villages per month.
  • Doctor consultations for expert medical advice.
  • Diagnostic services for early disease detection.
  • Free medication dispensing.
  • Online patient registration & digital health records via the CCAD App.
  • Health Awareness Campaigns on nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention.
  • Referral Mechanism – Linkage with CHCs, PHCs, and district hospitals.
  • Data Integration with Government HMIS.
  • Support for Health Schemes – ABHA ID creation, Ayushman Bharat card facilitation.

Objectives of CCAD

  • Reaching the unreached – Providing essential healthcare to marginalized populations.
  • Quality healthcare at the doorstep.
  • Free healthcare access for all.
  • Seamless telemedicine integration.

Challenges Addressed by MMUs

  • Geographical Barriers – Reaching inaccessible villages.
  • Limited Infrastructure – Providing medical care where PHCs/CHCs lack resources.
  • Low Health Literacy – Conducting awareness programs.
  • High Out-of-Pocket Expenses – Free diagnosis, treatment, and medicines.

Major Health Indicators in Pilibhit

  • Maternal & Infant Health: High MMR and IMR.
  • Communicable Diseases: High prevalence of tuberculosis, malaria, and diarrhea.
  • Non-Communicable Diseases: Rising cases of diabetes, hypertension, and respiratory issues.
  • Immunization Rates: Need for increased coverage in remote areas.
  • Nutritional Challenges: High malnutrition rates among children and anemia prevalence in women.

Impact: The MMU program is transforming rural healthcare, reducing travel costs, and ensuring timely medical interventions through technology and community-focused services.
